です。

English note: For anybody who uses kanji, please as much as possible put furigana for it so that people of a lesser kanji level can still participate. Or, put the same message twice, but the second time use no kanji. Or whatever other idea you can come up with.

I probably messed something up... My trip to China has put me on a studying high, so now I'm planning on getting a couple houndred kanji down within the next month. If anyone has any good resources on learning Japanese (everything, grammar and vocab), I'd appreciate it very much!

Make sure your browser character encoding is set to Japanese when you post it.

it has been a while since I have been on the boards, but hey what kind of books or info were you interested in? Where you looking just to speak Japanese, a book for something general, or were you gonna be gun-HO! Japanese?

The reason why I asked, because I know a lot of foreigners that study Japanese just to speak it only.

I guess I should respond to this.

My study high's kind of dropped off since classes started and I was mainly studying to make sure I could get placed into the non-beginner's Japanese class. Now I'm tackling two languages with a third on the way, but I could still use good and effective resources for learning Japanese. I guess grammar's my main concern, since I can pick up words from TV and music and look them up, but I can't make sense of some sentence structures and particles. Speaking and conveying my thoughts well is high on my list, too. Reading's not a big deal and I've been able to pick it up without much trouble after spending time with Chinese.
