So, I have a new penpal friend from Japan who is a loligoth. I had mentioned that I went to a couple of EGL events in Japan, and one time I wore my Japanese gakuran because I didn't have any sort of more proper outfit to wear.

She replied that that would be an interesting idea, and I got to thinking... so we have Gothic Kimono, why not Gothic Gakuran for us guys?

I totally think I can start a new fashion line/trend here.

I'm gonna have to work on this. Look through the GL Bibles I have, get a better feel for what the Japanese like in their "Gothic," and go from there. As a start, gloves, a bondage-type collar, interesting pants, and of course boots. Hmm.

As someone who has in the past been accused (much to my chargrin) of supporting this lifestyle, I would just like to point out that if you are trying to make something more goth, to "frill it up" probably isn't the best way to aim toward that goal.

He's Southern - "frill" to them is the same word as "fancy," or "gussy."

A goth gakuran is an interesting concept. Did anyone ever come up with a good design for how to make it goth?
